Introduction...

The Towneley Time Travellers are a group of young people aged 13-19 who have produced a new audio visual guide to Towneley Hall, a beautiful heritage venue in Burnley. Working with artists, drama workers and a professional film crew the young people's aim is to make Towneley and its unique history more interesting and engaging for people thier own age.

The six dramatic episodes of the Towneley Time Travellers' Guide are now showing on a touchscreen trail which leads visitors around the Hall, introducing them to fascinating characters and stories from Towneley's past.

Towneley Time Travellers' project was lead by Burnley Borough Council, Arts Development, funded by the Heritage Lottery young roots and supported by Burnley Youth Theatre and Burnley College.
